Chris ordered his new notebook from Dell today. With his employee discount and sales promos he saved $1100. I can’t wait to see it, he ordered a red one.
I still have my old lappy until we can get a new one for me, but Chris really deserves a new one considering all the hard work he’s put in the past few months…selling computers to everyone else.
Today was nuts. The guy who usually does connections desk stuff with me was sick, so Chris and I took on the job of ushering, connections and offering. I had no clue what happens to the offering after we take it up, but today I learned it’s quite a complicated process. I’m sure it’s not at most churches, but we have hidden keys all over the place that go to hidden safes behind secret closets. One of the guys and I were joking about how it was like a scavenger hunt. We had to find a key in the office to unlock a safe on the other side of the building. Then we had to hide that key so the lady who deposits the money would be able to get it. Then we had to return the other key to another hiding spot. Seriously? It doesn’t have to be that hard. Haha. I guess it’s good because no one could steal it even if they wanted to, but it just seems like a lot of heavy measures for a Sunday morning tithe. But whatever. I enjoyed doing it, I feel needed and loved. And that’s a good thing. I do love my Northview! I have a meeting with several of the First Impressions people on Tuesday and I can’t wait to share my ideas and brainstorm with them about how we can build up this ministry. I think I’ll start with making the offering less complicated. Haha.
Because of that magazine cover, Gracie gets recognized all over the place and is actually signing autographs! She was telling everyone at church that she’s America’s Next Top Model. Haha! (Not in a snotty way, but in a “I don’t know what that really means” way!) All her friends are carrying the magazines around with them, how cute is that??
