Today was productive. After we picked up Gracie, we headed up to Northview to do some work. Thursdays are Chris’ day off and we both had so much to do! Chris set up computers and downloaded security software while I helped Emily (friend and former youth) organize the Connections desk. And WOW there was some random crap down there. We found: a tape measure, a dozen or so tennis balls, two heart shaped bowls, a dead spider, roll-around casters– about 30 packages, around 200 pens, a miniature Barbie doll, a ton of clothes, some remnants of what possibly could have been 2-3 petrified green beans (?) and handouts from when the church first opened. The desks are set up with storage drawers underneath them. They are all labeled, but nothing was where it was supposed to be, it was just all thrown in wherever and it has been driving me NUTS every week. So we threw away an entire industrial sized trash can full of outdated stuff, re-labeled all the drawers and organized like crazy. The girls ran back and forth and played in the nursery. It was nice. This is what they looks like from the back where we’re working, in the front it’s solid black…there are three desks and they all look like this now:
And then there’s black curtains that go over them so it’s all covered up. Notice all the labels at the top of all the drawers, oh yes, I do looooove the label maker. Don’t look at the top of the desk, Chris wasn’t done placing computers yet! =)
And in other news, I still looooove my job twice a week as a MDO teacher. I have to share with you a pic of my darling co teacher and friend, Katie…and the bubble conglomerate on her hand. We blow bubbles every week for the babies and those Gymbo bubbles just don’t pop-they stick together! Cool? No one but our babies would be impressed.
And last but not least, Trinity, in the car, waiting to pick up Sissy. Obviously a bit bored, but she looked soooo cute. All these pics are taken with my phone if you’re wondering why they’re so random.
That’s it. I’ll have to get more random pictures for you soon. Until then, I need some opinions. Little diamond stud nose ring–am I too old? Discuss.
