Well, the more I thought about it, the less entertaining the blog on the ice storm would have become, so let’s just leave it at this. It was wet, cold, miserable, and icy. We were warm and safe but are now happy to be home. Here’s some pics of the damage. This is day four, so the ice has melted quite a bit but I wasn’t really thinking about grabbing my camera as we were evacuating…so these are the best I could get from our back yard this morning.
The back fence and all those once-pretty trees:
I thought this was pretty…even though the tree is probably going to die. Some of it fell onto our storage shed, see?
The girls’ wagon:
Trinity was ready in her furry snow outfit!
Gracie before school last week. We’ve been experimenting with different hairstyles. I like this one!
Trinity gets her own snacks now. Sigh. Time to buy another refrigerator lock…
And Gracie’s been interested in photography. So she arranges her animals and toys and takes their pictures. I’m soooo glad Santa’s bringing her a Kid Tough digital camera for Christmas, because I can’t take the stress of her carrying mine around.
And the Santa picture:
Alright, that’s it. But isn’t that better than a detailed account of our ice storm misery? LOL You’re welcome!
