I had this whole paragraph about why we quit our cheerleading program at the gym, but honestly it’s just kinda boring so here’s the reader’s digest version. The cheer coach was unorganized and disrespectful to the parents, and she tried to make it an “all star” competition team complete with out of state competitions and mandatory extra practices, and about a thousand dollars worth of mandatory “extras” in order to stay on the team. Sorry, but Gracie’s cheerleading is sooooo not my life.
I found Upward cheer, and we start in a couple weeks. Gracie is so excited to start her “new cheerleading” and Upward is all about fun and it’s a ton cheaper. It was $60 for everything, including the uniform. Gracie will be actually cheering for a basketball team, instead of this stupid All Star competition stuff. And they don’t wear make up or glitter. Each practice starts with a devotional time and prayer. I think that’s so cool. To find out if Upward has a basketball, football, cheer and/or soccer in your city, go to www.upward.org I can’t say enough about how cool it is. I’m thrilled that we found it. I wish we would have had something like that for me when I was little.
Trinity’s been dealing with a ruptured ear drum–ouch! So we’ve had a few restless nights and that poor child has had more pain than I can imagine. She’s on antibiotics now and we’re keeping her on the Tylenol every 4 hours and ear drops twice a day. Poor baby!
More pics coming soon, I’m on the laptop and I don’t have any recent pics! Bye!
***EDIT*** Chris has some anti-virus software that he would like to give away. He got it from Dell’s techno fair something or rather…it’s really great stuff and brand new, it’s just we already have anti-virus software on our computers. So if you want it, message me and I’ll mail it to you.
