Well, I was pretty darn excited about going to New York but the producer called today to tell me that they’re holding off doing that show for awhile. I am really okay with it because I have three other speaking engagments that week and I need to be concentrating on those. Plus Chris would have had to take off work and I would have had to take Gracie out of school. So…all in all it is really okay for us. I feel so sorry for my mom and sister though, I think they were looking forward to it more than I was. My biggest disappointment is that we won’t get to see baby Overton as a newborn. But I will always be his/her aunt so I guess I’ll just have to admire from a distance for now. Hopefully our trip and show will happen eventually though.
I still don’t want to say what show it was, so I’m sorry for the secrets. I just don’t want to jeopardize anything. But maybe now I can concentrate on getting on Oprah. Haha!
Channel 5 gave me an hour today before they showed up at my door to interview me. I said yes while I was stirring mac and cheese on the stove, still in my yoga pants and tee shirt, and my hair all afro’d and no make up. Oh and the house was a disaster. I did eventually put myself together, but the minute the crew got there, the girls put on a performance worth of the Supernanny’s intervention. Oh well, it’s just the local news, right?
