Gracie woke up at 6:30 and was all smiles. Here she is, ready to go!
Going into the school…
Is this my class?
Picking out nametags. “My name is Gracie, with a G” she told her teacher.
Hanging up her name on the hook
“Bye mom. I have to go read now.”
And that was that. She went in without any issues and here I am, still in disbelief that my baby is in elementary school. This will be a great year for her. We’re thrilled that she’s at such a fantastic school and I’ve only heard wonderful things about her teacher. Yay!

How are YOU doing? Did you cry? I am choking up just reading about her first day and she isn’t even my child. She looks so grown up! I bet the house feels so quiet without her there!

Kairi is like Gracie in that she wants to wear all her pretty dresses to school. (of course w/sneakers b/c of the dress code).
Her classroom looks very big. I’m so jealous.

I took Addie to Open House today and she met her first grade teacher! I remember when Meg went to her first day of Kindergarten (no pre-K yet back then). I cried, she did not! LOL
