RYC: LC is the name of the long-term care facility (assisted/personal care) where I have volunteered and/or worked, and student interned for one semester, for almost eight years! I don’t feel comfortable putting (online) the actual name of the facility, for privacy issues and personal reasons. My LC Mama is my absolute favorite resident, of all time, at the facility. I love all the residents, but this woman is the kind of person who does not come around very often. She’s an amazing individual for whom I have much admiration and respect. She has become another mom to me, and she’s so much like my grandmother was that it’s amazing! :) So now you know what I’m talking about when I use these phrases! LOL
