April 13, 2007

Haha, okay, well I’ve had several friend and family who read the blog say “I was hoping you were okay, you didn’t post after your appointment…” I’m sorry.  I was pooped! My sweet husband let me go to bed at 7, gave Gracie a bath, did the dishes and the laundry.  Oh how I love him!

The CT scan:  I don’t know results yet.  Just pray they don’t call me.  I’ve learned no news is good news with those people.

Radiation: Starts on the 24th.  I met again with my radiation nurse to go over questions.  My biggest one was “can I pleeeeeease start working out again?”  She said it shouldn’t be a problem now that I’m done with chemo!  Wooohoooo!  I feel so strange right now, like my body doesn’t match me.  So I’m ready to get back to me as soon as possible! The other thing they did was they had me lie down on this weird plastic pillowy thing, and then I had to lay still as they sucked all the air out of the bag, making a mold of the back of my head and my neck and back.  This is what they will use to position me every day in radiation.  Weird. So yup, I’m on my way out of this whole thing…and I am ready!

Trinity’s birthday is coming up!  How did my baby get so big?  I bought cute little first birthday napkins, invites and plates today.  I’ve had my eye on this particular design for awhile but I waited on buying–I’m glad I did! Today I paid $4 for everything, it was all on clearance!  Whooohoooo!

Gracie’s great.  We have a new rewards system that is working like a dream.  She has two juice glasses, one with a happy face, the other with a sad face.  We keep jellybeans by them.  If she cleans up or is super good, we put one jellybean into the happy face jar.  If she throws a fit or whatever, we put one jellybean into the sad face jar.  At the end of the day, we count them up and she gets an Easter egg  with gum or candy in it.  This has been sooo motivating for her, and it prevents her from overeating candy.  When the eggs run out, I’ll probably do something healthier, like money or written priveliges in the eggs.  But for now, candy’s working.  She’s been an angel for a week now, and I’m a happier Mommy!

Sorry this is so long.  There’s so much  going on! But for your kindness to read all of that, you deserve some cuteness.

Bye!

ETA: I didn’t think this worked earlier, but now it’s in my uploaded videos.  This was Easter at the Starbucks drive thru.  Gracie’s “rapping” to TruDog, Toby Mac’s son…
