I’m part of a group called Chemo Angels.  People from all over the world send encouraging cards to me on chemo days.  I have a certain chemo angel that is assigned to me who sends me packages with goodies in it. I have received my favorite tea, scrapbooking things, notecards, and candles.  The last package she sent me was for the girls, and included this little singing, dancing, afro-wearing mouse with a tank top that says “WORD” on it.  I’ve seen these before, but for some reason he really, really made me (and the girls) laugh so hard.  We had so much fun with him!  Here’s a little video of Gracie gettin’ down to his lovely munchkin voice:

Graceful, no?  Especially the self-spanking and the undies hanging out of her capris.  Makes her momma proud.

I have been feeling great with some minor exceptions.  I have a lingering pain in my knees and lower back, especially at night when I lay down.   A small price to pay for life, though, huh?  I’m happy to have these pains if it means the potential to live to see my kids grow up.

I have been exploring the world of selling the girls’ clothes on ebay.  Not just selling, but actually making some good money off of it.  I have a friend who’s showing me the ropes on exactly how to sell boutique clothing when we’re done with it.  I used to just randomly sell stuff when the mood would strike or I needed to get rid of clothes, but now I’m doing it a little more professionally, with actual boutique templates and all that…we’ll see how it goes.  Since I can’t really work right now with my crazy cancer schedule, I figured this would be a great way to bring in some extra income and still be the mom I’ve always wanted to be! So far I just have a couple things up from Trinity’s Baby Gap collection. It’s so hard to look at those things and think she actually outgrew them!  0-3 months seems like it was just last week!  Here’s my little logo I’m currently using for their auctions:

EDITED TO ADD:  My seller ID on ebay is sillykari.  I’m not selling ALL my stuff, just ’cause if Katie has a girl I want her to have it.  But stuff that I have no sentimental attachment to, that is still in great condition…off it goes!

Chris just went to buy his car. It’s a nice, older Jeep Cherokee Laredo that we ended up buying, not being given, but that’s okay.  We’ve had three cars given to us since we’ve been married, so  I don’t think we’ve been cheated or anything.  Haha! That’s just the way it goes.  Thankfully we got some tax refund money back and that car is what we spent every last dollar on.  Considering it’s been almost two years of total inconvenience and sometimes borrowing a second car, and Chris having to constantly rely on me or my dad to get him to and from work, I think the investment is well worth it.

That’s all for now.  Have a good day!
