June 29, 2006

I’m absolutely addicted to TLC’s new show, Surviving Motherhood.  Moms, you all should check it out.

My brother is coming home from Iraq in just a couple weeks.  I’m soooo excited.  It’s just a temporary visit, but it will be so nice to see him.  And I’m looking forward to introducing him to Trinity.

I had a dream last night that I had missed the enrollment date for Gracie’s school year.  (She’s enrolled already for preschool, but if you want a transfer to the better school here, you apply in September, an entire YEAR before she actually goes.) I woke up in a cold sweat.  Ugh.  Pressure.

Poor Gracie.  She hasn’t been sleeping well and she’s had nightmares for the past few nights. I was rocking both crying girls, one in each arm. Which I secretly enjoyed. I love them so much.  I couldn’t quit kissing their sweet little cheeks.

Yesterday, Gracie asked me if she could go to heaven.  I told her yes, but not right now, that I wanted her to stay with us for awhile and we’ll all go to heaven when it’s time.  She asked if it was like Frontier City.  Um, well, sure.  *Note to self:  Ask God to install a kiddie coaster just inside the pearly gates.*

June 27, 2006

Aaaaagh!  Is it August yet?  Gracie starts preschool in August.  Maybe the 1/2 day away from each other every other day will be just enough to keep us from going at each other.  She’s just so darned…exactly like me.  It makes me crazy.  She’s usually so sweet and funny and really fun to be around. But then other times she’s stubborn and snotty and bossy.  There you go, Daddy.  I have one just like me, so you got your wish.

Yesterday was a great day at gymnastics.  She did well on the balance beam and is starting to do some basic jumps on the trampoline. Gracie saw pee-wee cheerleading on TV (4-6 year olds who tumble and compete in national competitions) and now that’s all she’s talking about.  Her coach at gymnastics said they could start her tumbling as soon as 4 but I don’t want her to get burned out so I may wait to start her till later, if we can.  She asks me EVERY day to take her to cheerleading.  Today she’s wearing her OU cheer uniform, she picked it out herself.  Sigh.

I’ve been walking with the girls and it’s been so nice.  I love walking in the neighborhood with all our big trees!  Some of those trees must be at least 50 years old! Anyways, yesterday I had the camera with me and snapped a couple pictures of my favorite street to walk on…

And then here’s one of the girls with their bright green sunglasses on! Gracie insisted that she put hers on by herself…

So AOL had this Family Day out at Frontier City today. After Gracie got home from Mothers Day Out, we had a couple hours to relax and then we went out there for free dinner and rides for Gracie.  We didn’t do any rides because we had both the girls with us but we still had lots of fun seeing Gracie ride all the kiddie stuff. We did all get to ride the train as a family though.  I guess Trinity liked it.  Mainly she just kind of looked confused.

I forgot the camera so we snapped a few pictures with Chris’ phone.

She liked this one, but couldn’t stand it that her jeans got wet when she sat down on the seat! What a priss!  (I don’t know where she gets it from…)

Every time she went around, she would yell, “I love it!”

This is when we said it was time to go home.  LOL

Here’s a new one of Tiny, who is almost 9 pounds!  I can’t believe it, she’s starting to be a chunk!  So can I still call her Tiny when she’s a chunky monkey?

Chris– Thanks for being such a great husband to me and a wonderful Daddy to our precious girls.  All three of us adore you.

We got Chris some Polo shirts and some portraits.  The Picture People framed the first three together, with 5×7’s of the individual pictures of the girls on each side and an 8×10 of the one of them together in the middle.  It’s in a black frame and is absolutely gorgeous.

Here are some more that we just randomly had done.  As if I need more portraits, I know…but the Picture People always do such a great job and I can’t resist.

EDIT:  Guess who’s wearing 0-3 mo clothes now!  She’s 9 lbs! What a big girl–we’ve finally grown out of our preemie things.

Love it?

Oh, she is such a joy! She sleeps through the night (most nights) and cuddles with me… she loves it when Daddy holds her close to feed her a bottle…she coos and responds to Gracie…she even giggles when I can get her smiling a lot!  My beautiful Trinity!

I have a confession to make. I am a Baby Gap junkie.  I can’t help it.  And when Baby Gap has a sale, well, move outta my way!  I got soooo much stuff the other day for super cheap.  Trinity got a couple pairs of tights (for winter/fall) for 47 cents each! I got a ton of new outfits and cute shirts for both of them, about $200 worth of things for under $30.  Go Mommy!  I have a knack for finding each and every bargain at Baby Gap.  It’s a gift.

And I can’t post a pic of Trinity without posting some of this future rock star/cheerleader/celebrity:

I love my sweet girls!!!
