So the other day in the van, Gracie asks me, “Mommy, why don’t you ever push that button and let me watch a DVD?”  Chris and I had promised each other that we wouldn’t let her know about the DVD player so that she would not ask about it every time we went somewhere.  Apparently, Gracie’s known about the DVD player ever since we bought the van, because she and Trindon watch videos in his mom’s Navigator.

And we’re still waiting for Gracie to grow out of this whole phase where she has to take all her clothes off outside in order to be happy.  I took this from the back door:

What am I going to do with her?

Trinity’s getting big!  She’s 7 and a half pounds now–what a big girl! And she’s looking around and watching everything with these beautiful navy blue eyes.  It’s fun to watch her grow and learn something new every day. Mainly, though, she still just sleeps.

Okay, you know the show “My Super Sweet Sixteen” on MTV?  Well, they could do a series called “My Super Sweet Life” about Gracie.  She’s spoiled rotten.  Grandmommy, Grandpa and Aunt Brooke took her on a carriage ride in Bricktown, out to eat at the airport and had all kinds of surprises for Gracie when she spent the night. We enjoyed the night to (almost) ourselves.  We still had Trinity, but she slept for most of the evening.  Yay for Grandparents.

Like the Miss America wave here?  Surprised?

Trinity had her first tea party!  She was dressed so sweet and everyone at the tea room adored her.  We had a wonderful lunch and Berry Berry tea.  Yum!

Gracie and Ma share a hug and a cup of tea.

Trinity enjoyed her formula.  Maybe here in a year or so she can try some tea. Look at that proud big sister!

I bought this sign in the boutique after our tea party. Trinity loves her room.

Okay, well, I’m off to do some housework.  The girls are both sleeping and it’s my only time to do anything…

Happy Anniversary to me and Chris!  6 years and things are getting better all the time.  I love you, Kikiriki! Here’s to many, many more wonderful years.

We didn’t do anything for our anniversary, but we’re planning on having one heck of a vacation here in a few months.  Sorry kids, no details just yet.  But I will be the happiest woman on the planet very, very soon.

Trinity weighs 7 lbs now!  She’s almost what Gracie weighed when she was born.  Way to go, Tiny! That’s all I really know about her. Well, that and she has really long toes and feet…

How can this angel be so much trouble? I swear, when you’re all not around, she’s a complete monster.  Yesterday she was kissing all over my face, so I was enjoying it.  Then she smiled and said, “one more, mommy” and I leaned in and puckered up for a big sweet Gracie kiss…and she HEAD-BUTTED ME.  I know, none of you believe me.

It’s weird how our kids don’t look anything alike.  Taken at 3 weeks…

Okay, I know you’ll all laugh at me…I thought I had given away pretty much all of Gracie’s old clothes to Hurricane Katrina victims.  But then the other day in the attic, there was a lot of stuff that had been boxed up that was still up there and I started to wonder if maybe somehow I’d skipped over some boxes or something.  So I climb up there today–and sure enough, there was one box of Gracie’s 0-6 month clothing left!  Some of it won’t work (different seasons) but we’ve just increased Trinity’s wardrobe by about 70%.  I’m optimistic that maybe there are more boxes up there for other sizes, but it was too hot to check.  I pulled out as much of the 0-3 month as I could and threw it in the laundry. So yay!  Baby Trinity will be dressed just as cool and cute as Gracie was.  Well, that is if she ever graduates out of Preemie clothes.

Trinity’s great.  I got the old baby scale down so I could start weighing her myself instead of taking her into the Dr’s office.  I started to worry, just because Gracie was always awake and a very eager eater–which is why she was HUGE:

Trinity only wakes up to eat still, then she’s back to sleep.  Now don’t get me wrong, I’m NOT complaining. I just want to make sure she’s gaining weight and getting enough.  She only has 4-5 bottles a day.  She slept through the night last night.  3 weeks old!  Am I lucky or am I doing something wrong?  Guess the scale will tell me!  I’m weighing her as soon as she wakes up.

Oh–and we got our first Picture People portraits…

That’s all for now.  Better updates later.  I have laundry to do!

**EDIT**  Actual conversation between me and Gracie:

Gracie:  I know her name is Trinity, but can I still call her Baby Gap sometimes?

Me:  Sure, baby.  That was your name for her when she was in my tummy so I think that’s sweet.

Gracie:  Well, then can I call her Sophie?

Sigh.
