All she wanted was to look at the statues, so…

Seeing Adriann up for homecoming queen was quite spectacular.  Adriann, you looked quite lovely.  And it was so fun to go back to good old PCHS and reminesce.  I will tell you that one of the boys who was sporting old tattered nasty cheerleading uniform–yeah, I’m pretty sure that was one of mine.  It’s amazing what happens when schools get money.  The band looked like a million bucks, the cheer and pom definitely had new uniforms–and of course, the staduim.  I’m happy that the PC Schools are doing so well.

Today we went back to the fair to see Emily in the Pom/Cheer competition.  Good times, good times.  Chris didn’t get his cinnamon roll, the line was too long and we had to go.  We did get to go on the just-fixed yesterday OGE Wind Power…blah blah blah thingy.  It’s so hot inside there!  Gracie was semi cool with the whole thing.  She kinda got scared when it stopped up at the top and jerked down to descend.  But I kinda did too, only cause I remember the year it got stuck up at the top and had helpless fairgoers trapped for what seemed like days.  I’ll never forget seeing that image on the news.  Since OGE sponsors it now (Conoco must have got sick of having to fix it) you have to listen to some speil about switching to the new windpower electric or something.  I don’t know.  I was too busy sweating.

Tonight’s a barbecue over at Dick and Janie’s.  We’re having Josh and Bonny over too, and hopefully we’ll hear good reports about the awesome things happening at St. Mark’s.  Gracie will be thrilled to see them, she doesn’t understand why they’re not at chuch when she goes now.  Awwwww.

Here’s more pictures for you Gracie fans.  I know you can’t ever get enough.

Haha, this one made me laugh.  Gracie and her “Boy” as she calls him (Christian Davis) endure the heat to watch Emily perform at the fair.  Don’t they look miserable?

Inside the up-down, with a big silly fake smile.

She loves JoJo so much…

Just a funny picture. Daddy’s hat and dried mac and cheese on the face calls for a camera.

Okay, I promised you pictures of the Princess Gracie’s fantastic trip to the Oklahoma State Fair.  Here you are:

A little treat.  Gracie got to eat rock candy!  The former dental assistant in me said no, but the mommy in me said maybe this once won’t hurt.

In Agtropolis, she got to watch chickens hatching out of eggs!  Amazing!

Farmer for a day!  She picked apples, pulled veggies from a garden, and gathered eggs from the hens.

Gracie and Daddy see what it’s like to be weather forecasters.  The pictures’s really grainy but you get the idea.

She rode this ride and played a couple games.  We didn’t win any stuffed animals this year, but as always, someone just walked up to us and gave her one.  So now we have an overall-clad monkey to add to our collection.

Other things we did:  saw all the exhibits, walked a lot, ate corn on the cob and gyros, got a jug of root beer, and watched the animals.  Gracie saw a cow pee–she looked at Daddy and said, “That’s odd.” Haha. We tried to ride the “OGE Wind power space tower” but it was broken…surprise!  Well, that’s it for now.  Good family stuff today.  Big weekend ahead.

The conversation with her father went like this:

“Why did you have to go to time out?”
“Because…(sniff, sniff, quivering lip) I got in trouble.”
“Tell me why you were in trouble.”
“Because I went…to…time out?”
“Yes, but WHY were you in time out?”
“Because (rolling eyes) I was in trouble!”

Okay, I know every expert in the world tells you not to laugh at your kid when you’re trying to discipline her, but that was the funniest thing ever.  She was nodding her head and rolling her eyes and doing all those hilarious Gracie expressions…there’s just no way we could have prevented it. Not even Dr. Phil could stand up to the sheer adorableness of the Gracie girl.

We’re taking the Princess to the fair on Thursday, so watch for new pics, coming soon!

Today we watched a caterpillar for a good 30 minutes outside.  Gracie kept trying to convince me that it should come live in her room.  It was cool lookin’-one of those really fuzzy lime green ones with black polka dots. Now that I say that, someone will probably post back that it’s poisonous or something. Gracie was pumped that one day it will be a beautiful butterfly.

She told me her name is Grace Mary Moz.  Haha.  Close enough.  The whole conversation started when I told her “Boo” from Monster’s Inc.’s name is Mary.  She loves that movie so much.  And now she’s even more into it.

Nothing quite like having a dental problem while pregnant.  No one will see me about this tooth until 2nd trimester.  Booo. It hurts.  Physically, yes, but then I think about how much it will cost, even with our insurance–it hurts my heart.  LOL I don’t like letting go of $300 unless I’m having a lot of fun doing it.  And I have a feeling sitting in the dentist’s chair while letting him replace the lost filling is not anywhere close to the fun I’m talking about.  For that I could fly to New York.  Or pay off a credit card.  Or take a trip to the mall. Boooo for lost fillings.  Definite downgrade.

She has these two little animal toys that she loves.  One she got from Aunt Brookey, and the other she won from Incredible Pizza.  They’re a lion and a cheetah and I thought they were just figurine type things but then Brookey told me hers was one of those grow things when you put it in water.  So we tried them both and they’re both grow things.  Who knew?  So now she’s got two big damp animals.  What am I supposed to do with them now?  Do they shrink?  Weird. She’s obsessed with them.  She won’t put them down.  If she needs a free hand, she’ll put them down her shirt.  Ewww.
